Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Richmond Lamptey has officially left Rwandan champions APR FC to join Libyan club Al Ittihad Misurata SC on a one-year deal.
Lamptey’s time at APR was brief but eventful. He arrived at the Kigali-based side in mid-2024 on a two-year contract after departing Kotoko, where he had contributed to their campaigns with creative play and consistency.
However, his spell with APR yielded limited game time — Lamptey featured in only eight league matches during the season, failing to register a goal or an assist.
Al Ittihad Misurata SC have secured his signature for a transfer fee reported to be around US$50,000.
